Deep breaths — help is here.

I’m Hayley, your guide to effective communications and systems change. I bring a background in public policy (M.P.P.), psychology (B.A.), and data analysis to my writing and facilitation work. Operating from the philosophy “all kids are our kids”, I use my skills and expertise to pursue a vision that sees every child having the resources and support they need to grow up healthy, self-assured, and equipped to achieve their dreams. And part of that work also means improving the internal organizational systems and cultures of schools and businesses striving to make the vision a reality.

Broad experience + a teamwork mentality

I’ve had a wild ride of a professional journey, charting my own path with every untraditional step. I’ve worked in education advocacy, I’ve taught in schools on the border, and I’ve collaborated on early care and education governance design. Starting a business, though? Never had it on my radar. I like working on a team and the idea of running my own everything sounded intimidating and overwhelming.

For almost 20 years, though, friends and family have sought me out for writing and editing assistance, or help conceptualizing and clarifying a problem and its possible solutions.

A handful of years ago, a close contact reached out and asked if I’d consider a more formal – and much more robust – engagement. We started on one big project that led to collaborating on many other big and small items over the course of a year. I had the opportunity to both write and consult and I loved it!

Shortly thereafter, I received my Advanced Systems Thinking Facilitator credential and continued to field increasing requests from my network. So I figured, why not make things official?

I now get to bring my team spirit to many teams, and I get to make an impact while also learning from the diverse approaches, organizational cultures, and scopes of work. And I truly believe my clients benefit from my exposure, as it increases my creativity and ability to think outside any particular industry or discipline’s box.
